Some people use the name generically for similar products, often termed air bubble packing or bubble wrapping; Sealed Air denotes its product as a brand of "cushioning material".

The air bubble wrap products are mainly used for packing things such as bicycle, electric appliance, electronic instruments and measuring applicance, furniture, handicraft , ceramic, domestic electric appliances, lamps & lanterns, line board and so on.
