MARKET INFORMATION
Vietnam is located on the eastern rim of the Indochina peninsula, near the South East Asian countries. With this superior geographical position, the economy is entering into a rapidly growing period with a stable politics.
The housing demanded area in Vietnam every year is up to 37 million sq. meters, with the total investment reach to 562 trillion Dong (about US$ 32 million). At present, 7 million Vietnamese are demanded for houses, total area needed is up to 15 million square meters.

According to the Vietnam Ministry of Construction, even though there are more than 300 building materials enterprises in Vietnam, with an annual growth rate of 17%, high-end building materials products are still needed to be imported to meet the marketing demand due to poor technology, diversified investment, lack of R&D capability and weakness of marketing competition.
Tariff on over 90 percent of products traded between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will be lowered to zero starting from January 1, 2010. This means that Chinese enterprises can not only avoid many trade barriers, but also can save the exporting cost. It is a rare opportunity for Chinese enterprises to directly built plants and distribution center in ASEAN.
